Philippines, 2018

I’m half. Half swedish and half filipina. 50% fika eating IKEA-meatball lover and 50% rice cooking, smooth hair growing island peep. Swedish mentality with a mix of asian culture and traditions, in other words I’m the person who goes “I understand what you mean, but I disagree, but we’re still friends right?” Love the fact that I’m currently in bed laughing at myself hehe

What I want to get at, is that I’m me! And I would like to share a little part of it with you.

The pictures below is from my latest trip to the Philippines. My second home. Enjoy!

And hey, there’s a movie at the end, feel free to check it out if you want ! <3

I never met a lasagna I didn’t like

Googled lasagna quotes and found this —> “I never met a lasagna I didn’t like”, and you know what, It’s sooo true! Best of all, a lasagna works as comfort food during rough times, and at the same time it also works as a classy high end dish at a 5 star restaurant. Hard to beat, that one is!

I’ve eaten a lot of lasagna during my little life on this earth, but none of them was as good as the one I had in Sicily (Sis you know which one I’m talking about), therefore I have chosen not to try to replicate that one. Instead I’ve chosen to try a vegetarian recipe for this weeks post. You vant really get the Sicilian sun and aromas here in Sweden. But back to the veggie lasagna, “This one wasn’t too shabby if you know what I mean!

The Golden Hour

My computer is old and he is dying, I think I pushed him a little to much this time. I’m gonna try to revive him, and try to finish this post via my phone. This post is just going to be totally random one.  Grabbed some random pictures that was on my camera from a trip to MAX with some friends last week.

I pulled over to the side on the old road to take some pictures by the lake, and told my brother to take pictures of the road and telling him how to hold the camera while I was the one keeping my eyes on the road and doing the driving. He didn’t do that bad of a job, now did he! ;D

I hope I won’t miss next weeks post, but i can’t promise anything. I might have a new computer on its way. One never knows.

Have a great sunday!

The diapositive project

It’s after christmas now, that means that I finally can share one of the longest and sneakiest christmas project I’ve done so far. 2,5 months of dealing  with white lies, borrowing scanning equipment and hours retouching, noise, scratch and damage removal from almost 100 diapositives or in other words slides. Designing and developing you name it, I’ve done it!

It started with my Auntie talking about all the slides they had in the basement, we brought some up and her husband started talking about the pictures, looking at them trough the projector on a white sheet that was hung over the bookcase. I saw some funny pictures of dad, think he was about my age, and asked if I could borrow some of the pictures, so I could “show dad”. Little by little I started “borrowing” more slides, scanning them, give them back.

So here we go, let me present a mix of the pictures that got printed in the book, before and after, work in progress during the time and much more.

I’d like to thank the people who lent me equipment and lending me a last minute hand removing some dust particles when my hand cramped up haha, you know who you are! So If you have any old photos you want restored, give me a call and I’ll give it a try!

Little Big People

framesA few weeks ago I was roaming around on the internet looking for inspiration for this project. I knew I wanted to work with people and also brush up on retouching and photo manipulation.

Came across an amazing post on Behance by Photographer Quentin Curtat and High-end freelance retoucher Cristian Girotto, that got me thinking. So I decided on trying to make something similar but older, more rough around the edges with a little twist.

Hope you like it!
