Two weeks ago my brother turned 17, and if there is a birthday, there has to be a cake. Looked around on pinterest for inspiration. Decided to combine two recipes (The cream cheese frosting filled red velvet cake with strawberries and the Dark chocolate ganache cake), Ended up with a Cream cheese frosting filled dark chocolate ganache cake, gees thats a really long name for it.

So here is the recipe:

3 eggs
2 cups sugar
50g butter
1 cup milk
2.5 cups flour
0.5 cups of cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder

175°celcius 30-40 min

250 g of cream cheese
2 cups whipping cream
1 cup powdered sugar
+ 1-2 cups cocoa for the dark frosting

200g baking chocolate
2 cups whipping cream

Mix all the dry products for the cake in a bowl.

Whisk sugar, eggs and melted butter, “so fluffy you wanna die” xDDSC_3685DSC_3669

Add some milk!DSC_3710

Pour it into a greased baking tin!DSC_3717

Into the oven 175 degrees, about 30-40 min!DSC_3727

Meanwhile start the Ganache! Melt the baking chocolate over a water bath, add the cream. When done let it rest, and put into the refrigerator for a couple of minutes ( this thickens the chocolate) nom nom DSC_3733

Oh yeah i saved a little baking chocolate and tossed it around on a baking sheet, tried to make decoration stuff for the cake xD Put the sheet into the freezer.DSC_3736

Nest is the frosting! Whip up the cream real fluffy, mix in the powdered sugar and cream cheese.DSC_3743

Put 2/3:s of the paste in an other bowl and mix in the cocoa.DSC_3747

When the cake is out of the oven and cooooool (let it rest for atleast 15 min, that’s if you don’t want melted frosting everywhere xD) Split it in two and add the frosting.DSC_3740DSC_3758DSC_3760DSC_3764

Get the dark chocolate ganache! And poooouuuuuur it sloowwwly over the cake, cover it don’t cover it, up to you!DSC_3770

Chocolate, more chocolate!DSC_3773

Add some strawberriesDSC_3755DSC_3781

And voila!, a chocolate ganache cake with strawberries, don’t forget the chocolate in the freezer! DSC_3795-2
